I had the best time staying at this incredible hostel in Bangkok! the location was absolutely perfect - it was so close to everything I wanted to see and do. I could easily walk to the famous Khao San Road and experience the vibrant nightlife. the hostel was also conveniently located by the river, allowing me to take in the beautiful views. it was just a short distance away from several stunning temples that I wanted to visit. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with private bathrooms that had hot water. the staff provided excellent service and went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful time. the pool and bar area were great for relaxing and meeting new people. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
The mattress was a bit too firm for my liking, but that didn't outweigh all the positives that this hostel had to offer.

Great location, easy walk to walking street, nearby bars and shopping. Free drink ticket upon check-in. Outgoing and helpful staff who host events and hang out at the bar. Nice rooms and amazing food at the bar. Always lots going on with city tours, bar crawls, quizzes, etc. Special mention to Jess for being lovely, helpful, and fun.

The hostel had a great party vibe, with an awesome swimming pool and bar area. The location was perfect, right next to a canal and within walking distance to all the important spots. I also liked that they had a tour company attached, making it easy to plan trips out of the city.
There were a few downsides to my stay. the hostel did not accept card payments, which was inconvenient.

This hostel was the perfect choice for celebrating New Year's in the city! the sociable bar downstairs created a lively atmosphere and provided a great opportunity to meet fellow travelers. the pool was a welcome bonus, especially for escaping the heat and relaxing after a day of exploring. the rooms were decent and clean, with spacious lockers to store our belongings securely. Being close to the main party street added to the convenience and excitement of our stay. we were really happy with our choice and would highly recommend it to others.
First, the bar prices were slightly overpriced, which was a bit of a downside. the air-conditioning unit in our room was broken and constantly leaking, leading to a mosquito issue that was not resolved by the staff.

We were impressed with the great location of Mad Monkey. Being in a touristic area, it was convenient for exploring the city and visiting popular attractions. The hostel was vibrant and lively, with a bar offering delicious drinks and specials. The beds were comfortable and the showers had good water pressure, with soap and shampoo readily available. we had a good experience and would consider recommending this hostel to others. There were a few small issues, such as the lack of shower boxes leading to wet and dirty bathrooms, as well as expensive drinks and breakfast. Additionally, our room wasn't cleaned one day and the attendants weren't very informative about tours and tips for Bangkok. However, these were minor concerns that did not significantly impact our stay. we had a positive experience at Mad Monkey and would recommend it.

Friendly and Fun Atmosphere
During my recent stay at Mad Monkey Bangkok, we had an absolute blast! The hostel had a fantastic atmosphere, perfect for meeting new people and enjoying the vibrant nightlife. We joined the bar crawls, quizzes, and karaoke nights, which were an absolute blast before heading out to explore Khao San Road. The reps, especially Dave, were amazing and made sure everyone felt welcome and had a great time. If you're traveling solo, don't worry at all because you'll meet tons of like-minded travelers as soon as you sit down. The rooms and beds were basic, but the staff and entertaining activities made up for it. I highly recommend this hostel for a fun-filled stay in Bangkok!

the location was perfect, with a fantastic Thai restaurant right opposite run by a lovely family. the room was comfortable and clean, and we had control over the air conditioning. the staff, especially Bish and Jess, were incredibly welcoming and made it easy to make friends. I also loved the fact that the hostel organized day and night activities, and had a great bar, restaurant, and swimming pool. the location was ideal, close enough to Khao San Road but still quiet. one of the best hostels I've stayed at during my month-long trip. Cons: For us, it was ideal. 🌟.
